 I.C. Thomasson Associates, Inc.(ICT) has been awarded a second large Federal office building with the Army Corp of Engineers, located at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL. The Army Material Command (AMC) is a four star general facility being constructed as part of the BRAC projects by the Department of Defense. The AMC shall be commanded by the first female four star general. The project shall be performed as a completely BIM project for all disciplines. The project shall be capable of achieving a USGBC LEED NC v2.2 “Silver” Certification. The BIM model shall be utilized to perform energy analysis as well as develop Energy Cost Saving Measures “ECSM”. Utilization of the BIM modeling by all disciplines shall also allow for the implementation of the “Clash Detection” features with a true view of the entire scope of the project
