FRR 109 Area M Buildings
Fort Bragg, NC
Task Order 1 – Site Investigation. The design/build project team, serving as a subconsultant, performed a site assessment of the M Buildings at Fort Bragg. Buildings M-5051, M-2643, M-2650, M-2345, M-2342, M-2651, M-2653, M-6150, M-6151, M-6153, M-6450, M-6453, M-6748, M-5040, M-5044, M-6148, and M-6746 were assessed. The Area M buildings were very old WWII facilities. The buildings were aged and deteriorated, and all major building systems are energy inefficient, maintenance-intensive and beyond their useful functional life.
Task Order 2 – Work Plan. Buildings M6150 and M6450 were designed to improve heating and cooling.
Task Order 3 – Repair and Renewal Action. Vanguard Contractors implemented the Work Plan.
