Concourse D and Terminal Wings Expansion
Nashville, TN
ICT was commissioned to provide mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection design services for a new 115,000 SF Concourse D Expansion including six new domestic aircraft gates. In addition to the new concourse, the project includes expanding BNA's Ticketing Lobby and Baggage Claim area with an additional 200,000 SF of space at the north and south ends of the terminal. Each expanded wing includes new concessions, ATO's, BSO's, and baggage upgrades. The project also includes another 136,000 SF of renovated terminal space and a new 11,000 SF central plant which will serve the entire BNA Campus. Key MPE elements of the design include a robust central plant with capacity to serve the full BNA Vision, strategic phasing design for electrical infrastructure upgrades, detailed design and coordination with local utility to incorporate a new redundant electrical system for reliability, detailed coordination with TSA for MPE infrastructure needs for interim TSA checkpoints, aircraft ground power systems, new MPE infrastructure for baggage handling upgrades, and an extensive energy-efficient lighting and digital control platform to reach sustainability objectives. In addition, ICT has worked closely with the sustainability team in pursuit of a LEED® v4 Certification.
