ICT provided mechanical and plumbing design for three separate facilities on this design-build project. The first building is a two-story headquarters facility, approximately 25,000 SF. The headquarters building houses a COMSEC vault, small data center, and several other spaces typical to a Class “A” office space. LEED® NC Silver. The hangar facility consists of approximately 96,000 SF of high bay (50’ tall) and low high bay (40’ tall) hangar area with approximately 15,000 SF of shop and 15,000 SF of office. A wash rack facility is the third building in the project. The wash rack is a covered building with a control building utilized for cleaning of the aircraft.

Project Highlights:

• The project met AT/FP criteria through the application of the following: (1) All HVAC openings were mounted a minimum of 10 feet above grade; (2) All HVAC openings are equipped with low leakage motorized dampers interlocked with AT/FP "Push Button - Shut Down" for all air moving equipment; (3) Installation of all equipment outside of setbacks; and (4) Installation of AT/FP compliant enclosures around and on top of any MEP equipment inside the 33-foot setback.
