R. Milton and Denise Johnson Center, The Academic and Dining Complex

This new LEED® Gold facility serves as the new home to Belmont University’s largest college: The Curb College of Music Business & Entertainment. Curb College includes a new motion pictures program, which requires several highly specialized and sound sensitive spaces; a 260-seat screening theater and sound mixing stage; a recording studio; sound and insert stages for television and movie production; and multiple computer labs for post-production editing. The complex also includes a 1,000-seat dining facility that triples the existing dining hall space. The building’s classical architectural style is in keeping with the campus vernacular.

ICT provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection design and construction administration for a four-story, 139,000 SF Dining and Academic building and six-story below grade, 1,000-space parking garage. The Academic and Dining Complex is the new home of the dining hall and Mike Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business.
