The full-service acute care community hospital inpatient services include emergency services, inpatient and outpatient surgery, cardiovascular, critical care, orthopedic, birthing and family care, and ancillary support. La Porte Hospital is pursuing Green Globes certification.

An attached Central Energy Plant provides chilled water, hot water, and steam services for the facility. Approximately 1,400 tons of cooling is provided incorporating high-efficiency centrifugal chillers. Fully condensing dual-fuel boilers are provided for heating. A state of the art Building Automation System is used to control and monitor the HVAC and electrical systems.

In addition to providing 1,250 kW of emergency power for electrical needs, our electrical design provided for prolonged outages and emergency cooling. The facility is fully sprinklered and the design allows for the facility to be converted into a high-rise should a vertical expansion be incorporated.
