Memorial Health Savannah Georgia Children’s hospital was constructed as 82,000 square feet, two stories with planned future vertical expansion. The facility was comprised of 58,000 square feet of renovation of an existing structure along with a 24,000 square foot addition to create the new state of the art $35 million children’s hospital located on the campus of University Memorial Health Savannah. The design of the facility was limited by state certificate of need (CON) limits, with partial demolition and some equipment purchased against that CON limit prior to the project scope being re-imagined by new owners. ICT partnered with the owner, project architects, and construction managers to not only integrate all of the previously purchased equipment for a smaller project, but to deliver the project within the approved CON limits and completion deadlines. 

ICT completed the engineering design for all mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, lighting, power and distribution, low voltage, and Information Transport & Systems Design (IT&S) for the facility.
