The $230 million North Alabama Medical Center includes 823 miles of electrical cable and 11,000 cubic yards of concrete. The 280 bed, 6-floor medical center has been designed from the ground up making future patients top priority. Construction took approximately 2 ½ years to complete.

The medical center was designed to include two additional tower patient floors plus five additional floors and first-floor horizontal expansion. The infrastructure was sized for these future loads with the powerhouse designed for modular expansion for future equipment.
